Lamont Evans "Heart of a Leader"
Idaho Falls, Idaho – February 29, 2016
After serious consideration, thought, and consulting Evan's family, NCL has found a small way to honor a great man. Lamont Evans was a 2nd shift compounding supervisor, whose life was tragically ended on March 18, 2013. Lamont was a huge part of NCL and had an enormous impact on those around him. NCL has decided to annually choose one employee a year and give him/her an award in Lamont's name - the Lamont Evan's "Heart of a Leader" award.
Lamont was loved by all and was known for his kind demeanor, amazing work ethic, and his giving nature. He was the kind of individual that gave his all for those around him. Those who receive the Lamont Evans "Heart of a Leader” award are people who exemplify characteristics that Lamont Evans exhibited on a daily basis: trustworthiness, great work ethic, positivity, and passion for helping the company,customers and those around him
Lamont was so dearly loved by the entire company that all of NCL shut down for two hours to attend his funeral services. Employees attended clothed in their company NCL jackets, a touching symbol of their respect for what he did for the company and for them.
A plaque will be hung in the reception area that will pay honor to Lamont's life as well as list out recipients of this great award.
An unveiling of the plaque is planned for mid-March or early April and Lamont's family and friends will be invited to attend.
