Northwest Cosmetic Labs Organizes Salvation Army Fundraiser

Idaho Falls, Idaho – December 20, 2013

All employees at Northwest Cosmetic Labs gathered in the Innovation Center Wednesday afternoon to participate in a raffle fundraiser for the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program. Enough money was raised to help several families in need during the Christmas Season.

Employees donated over 60 items to be raffled including crafts, food and gift baskets. Employees purchased raffle tickets for one dollar and three dollar values and would bid on the items they wished to take home. The winners were drawn and announced at the end of the event.

Jennifer Medina, receptionist and member of the NCL events committee, came up with the idea for the fundraiser. She has been in close contact with the Salvation Army in order to find out their needs and to find families to help.

Medina said, “I strongly believe in paying it forward. I teach my children that this is something very important to do, especially around Christmas.”

Alicia Sturgess, Marketing Coordinator and events committee chair said, “As a whole, we were thrilled by the success of the event. Everyone was very generous with their donations. It feels great to be part of a company that wants to give back to the community.”

The Salvation Army Angel Tree Program has been in operation in communities throughout the United States for over 40 years. To learn more about the Salvation Army and the Angel Tree Program, visit www.salvationarmyusa.org.
